Saint Paul Audubon Society Field Trips Saint Paul Audubon has a varied list of birding field trips and other events for birders to attend year-round. Most of our trips are FREE and open to the public. Many of our trips are morning or all-day excursions close to home, to check our usual haunts for bird and wildlife activity. We also take weekend trips, mainly to Minnesota destinations, but sometimes ranging to Wisconsin, Iowa and the Dakotas. Tours are planned periodically to visit other parts of America and the World. The meeting place for carpooling is usually the southwest corner of the Sears parking lot near downtown Saint Paul, opposite the State Capitol. This is just north of I-94, between Rice and Marion streets and south of University. The Southwest corner is close to the Marion interchange from I- 94. Please do not leave valuables in your car at any time, carry them with you or leave them at home. Wear good hiking boots, and bring water, snacks, mosquito repellent, binoculars if you have them.
